The V-Line keyless pistol safe arrived at our door in a mostly non-descript brown box with just a hint of branding stickers.
Everything was well-packed and arrived intact and undamaged. Using folded corrugated cardboard instead of the typical styrofoam was a welcome change and left us with no messes to clean up.
With the safe removed from the box, we used the code listed on the paper on the lid and opened the safe to find the remainder of the contents.

First Impressions
Weighing in at a hefty 5 lbs, we were impressed by the thick steel chassis and lid. It also sports a very nice and lightly textured black finish that looks like it was baked on.
No doubt, this finish will hold up well to bumps and scratches (much like a firearm with Tenifer finish, though I doubt the process is nitrocarburized). Still, it seems rather well made with good attention to detail.
The interior is lined with a thick layer of egg-crate foam that will help secure your firearm and keep it scratch-free. The famous Simplex lock is the same one used on Fort Knox pistol boxes and is of the utmost quality.

The setup of the V-Line’s Simplex mechanical locking mechanism is a bit more involved than a simple electronic device.
