Compact Rifle Safes
Here are two excellent rifle safes we thoroughly tested and reviewed. Both of them get a pass from us for what they were designed to do.
One is made by RPNB and uses an electronic keypad entry and the other one is a biometric and keypad entry made by Barska.

Shotgun Wall Mount Safes
Here are a couple of our favorite wall-mount shotgun solutions. One is a high-tech biometric and electronic keypad option by Hornady and the other is the low-tech mechanical version of the Shotlock shotgun safe.

Low-Profile Rifle Lockers
We found two great solutions for storing 1-2 rifles either horizontally under a bed or vertically in a closet.
One is the Hornady with quick-access RFID technology and the other is an electronic push-button locker made by SecureIt.

High-Security Keyless Pistol Safes
These two safes are great options for storing 1-2 firearms with a failproof keyless entry. The first is from V-Line and features a Simplex lock and is super compact and portable. These safes offer much better pry resistance than the biometric options do.
The second is the venerable Fort Knox with a super heavyweight construction and features the same Simplex locking mechanism.

RFID Handgun Safes
Here are two budget option handgun safes that feature RFID quick-access entry. The first is from RPNB and features an electronic keypad with RFID quick entry (the biometric version is available in the second link). The pry resistance is very poor, however, so only use it for temporary storage or unloaded handguns only.
The second is from Sifely and features a biometric fingerprint scanner and RFID chip, as well as an electronic keypad with a smart app for Bluetooth access. It has better pry resistance than the RPNB but won’t win any awards!

Budget Biometric Pistol Safes
Here are some budget picks that all fell short in our comprehensive testing. The first is the Billconch which, while feature-packed, fell short in two of our tests but is very good at resisting heavy prying.
The second and third are two nearly identical biometric pistol safes that can easily be picked open with a small nail file or popped open quickly with a screwdriver.

High-Quality Biometric Handgun Safes
The two handgun safes we selected for this category are a step above the budget options on this list.
The first, made by Vaultek, is by far the best small handgun safe on the market with all of the smart options and entry points you could ever want (except RFID).
The second is the SentrySafe which features a rugged heavy build quality with biometric and keypad entry.

High-Security Biometric Box Safes
The Verifi Biometric Gun Safe sports the only FBI-certified biometric scanner that we have tested to date. It is leaps and bounds above any of the biometric scanners on the market with commercial-grade technology built in.

Budget Biometric Box Safes
These budget-minded biometric box safes are great for storing up to 4+ handguns and other accessories.
The first one from XDeer is a feature-rich box safe with biometric and keypad entry and features a removable shelf, a removable shelf, and can be powered with the included power cord. The electronic locking mechanism became unreliable after a year of limited use so buyer beware.
The second is one of the best deals for the money made by Amazon Basics which features a responsive biometric scanner with backup key access and has been reliable after a year of use.

Mounted Biometric Pistol Safes
This safe is perfect for hiding a self-defense pistol under a desk or bedpost. There are many models from various manufacturers, but the one we tested is the biometric version of the RPNB.
